2025 Pre-Season Offensive Line Position Rankings
Offensive Tackle:
1. Cody Huss 🏺- undeniably best T in the league. Won Best OL award like 7 out of his 8 seasons played. Love ya big dawg. Back with Colt to finish out his career. I’ll bet he has 3 or so left. Colt will play for 10 more.
2. Carter Segali 🐂- Had a huge year last year. Easily the ICFL’s most improved player. And he’s a champion. Don’t hate.
3. Aaron Johnson ⛏️- An absolute dawg back when he played. Wanted to put him #2, but ya can’t deny Carters season last year, and Aaron hasnt played in a couple years. I’m guessing he’s still a beast. Maybe he should be 2nd. 🤔
4. Jace Brinkman ✈️- Really Really damn good tackle wasted on a bad offense. To each their own. I wish Boyd was still at work, he could write a book about how good Jace is. We loved having him last year.
5. Daniel Winter 🔱- Super talented, but unsure of health going into the season. He’s looking good so far though, and he’s definitely a Top 5 tackle even not 100%. Stfu up Sam.
6. Griffin Stiegelmeier 🐂- A really lanky T. Not the best feet in the world, but makes up for it with size. Him being where he is says something, cuz the dudes below him are damn good.
7. Brandon Locke 🐅- Kills me he’s down here so far. Feels like a crime. Cuz he’s pretty fkn good. T is just a great group. I legit would listen to an argument for him in Top 4.
8. Matt Bishop 🏺- 2 of the better T’s in the league last year, both fully expecting to start this year. Cody Huss is in town now though, so 1 about to be real disappointed.
9. Steve Mason 🏺- Could go either way. I gave the slight edge to Bishop. But hey, a lot of teams use 3 T’s… right guys…? Riiiiiight? One of them gonna be way too damn good to ride pine.
10. Jacob Pinedo 🔱- Top DE told me he’s the 2nd best T he’s ever gone against after Huss. He’d be a lot higher up if he did it full time. Will defly play some OL. But plays a lot of other positions.
11. Josiah Lara 🐅- A really damn great football player that is better at defense than offense. Based on how many Sabers were pissed at that one, I expect the complaint box to pile up. What toilet paper shortage?
12. Dustin Hurst 🔱- Another good T, that just focus’ more on defense. Huge and strong when he does it, just isn’t here full time. Maybe he should be though… 💭
13. Daniel Rangel ⛏️- Has been a baller in years past. Still criminal to have him so low. But he actually is really good. In the Guard group he’d be Top 8.
14. Sam Harrison 🔱- Ex-Savage starter with much better feet than youd expect when we watched film. As soon as Paul pulled the trigger, this is the first guy we pounced on. Improving every week! Has worked harder and been more dedicated than any of our new OL so far.
15. Matt Smart 🪄- Leadership says he’s going to be their best OL. He’s bounced between G & T, but they’re a new team. Cut ‘em some slack.
16. Nando Escalante 🐺- 6’3” & 280. A great athlete for his size. That’s what the Alphas told me.
17. Tony Dionne 🪄- Was a Savage starter last year. Now will start for Griffins.
18. Tony Osos 🔱- We basically lost ALL of last years OL. So we recruited hard. Osos might play more DL, but he’s just as mean at both. A little older, but if he did it full time, he’d be rated higher than some above him.
19. Ty Schlote ✈️- The other Warhawk T. Big Guy. Nice guy. Not terrible. Honestly, T a good group. He’s pretty serviceable.
Offensive Guard:
1. McCoy Dorr ✈️- Mr. Technique. And really passionate about his success, and his teams success. It’s contagious. Takes lost reps personally. Really high football IQ, outperformed by his heart. Bummed we lost this guy, cuz he was one of my (Gunn’s) favorite players and teammates.
2. Eli Boone 🏺- Early on was a really strong brute that lacked technique. But he’s improved that every year. And now we can finally buy in. What seperates him on this list is grit. Aggressive, Attitude, Strength. Definitely the best guard, on probably the best OL.
3. Juan Labra ⛏️- A lot of old Diggers are back. Labra, like many others is one of those guys that was a monster back in the day, but we haven’t seen it for a few years. Let’s just see ya still got it Hoss.
4. Kaden Rothenbuhler 🐅- Miscommunication. This guy should be up a spot or even 2. We all really like him. We all think he’s a pretty damn good ball player. Just ok feet, but good reach, aggressiveness, and power at the Guard spot.
5. Dason Pizano 🐺- Was a 2 way All-Star for the dawgs last year, and even got a few votes for OL of the year in 2024. I wouldn’t go that far. But a Top 5 guard, definitely.
6. Wyatt Johnson 🏺- The Aztecs have a damn good OL. Adding Huss to it is crazy. But there’s the same problem here as Tackle. 3 of them have been assured they’d be starters. I’ve talked with every single one of them a month ago. Wyatt will probably be the starting guard opposite Eli. But someone gonna be upset.
7. Alan Castorena ⛏️ - Was the DBacks best player for a couple years. Back home now with his boys where he doesn’t have to be the star anymore. He can fit in as one of the guys, and I think that will help him accell. Diggers quietly have a pretty badass OL. 💪🏻
8. Jordan Betz 🏺- Betz is a real good OL. He’s big and strong, and would start on every single team in the league… except the Aztecs this year. It’s still football, and stuff happens, and assuredly they’ve sold him on a next man up mentality, and some sort of rotation (which nobody does with OL). This Aztec OL bench is better than most teams starters.
9. Nathan Maxfield 🐺- 2x 1st Team All-Conference OL. That’s how Said described him. I assume he means in highschool at Canyon Ridge? Interwebs says 2nd team. But still, great credentials. Let’s see it against adults brotha.
10. Jovarri Beasley ✈️- Played at Feather River Community College. The Warhawks claim he’s going to make a bog splash, and not just in his community swimming pool. The OL is easily the Warhawks best position group between him, Brink, and Dorr.
11. Omar Rodriguez 🔱- New to the league, and he’s impressed me a lot. Believe me, I’ve been real worried about our OL, but he’s restored a lot of confidence for me. He’s going to be a decent ball player this year.
12. Cris Reyes 🔱- Another guy we’ve been really thankful to pick up. He was an Aztec a couple years ago. He’s a little lighter since then, but he moves better. He should start for us, I like this dude.
13. Emmett Koozer 🐅- Just recently joined Sabers, like a few days ago. But they’re already confident enough in him to predict him a starter. Excited to see him play. Sabers have one of the better OL’s in the league.
14. Kevin Archangel 🐂- Ex-Savage with some gargantuan shoes to fill. Kevin can be pretty decent at times, but he’s very lazy and takes a lot of plays off. The Dors have higher standards than the Savage ever did, so I assume he will do better. But this is a huge drop off from last years Matador guards.
15. Izzy Concepcion 🐂- Man, I love Izzy. Nobody I root for harder. What a great dude, great teammate. He finally will get a shot at a starting gig, and I’m excited as hell for him. But again, these ain’t last years Dors OL…
16. Paulo Tosi 🔱- Big samoan dude strong as hell. You won’t move him. But he isn’t super mobile himself either. If he can get healthy and commit himself, he will do some damage this year. But currently, he is behind the other 2.
17. Sergio Blanco 🪄- New to the ICFL, Griffins have him penciled in as their best guard. I honestly know nothing about him, so I have him below some others.
18. Jacob Sanchez 🔱- High hopes for this dude. Was set to start for Savage last year, but tore his knee in preseason. Still not quite ready. That’s the only reason he’s way down here. Would be in the mix to start if healthy.
19. Alex Saunders 🐅- The Sabers other guard. The other 2 will prob start. This new guy will be next man up.
20. Lucien Yervasi 🪄- Guard for Griffins… shit, I dont know what to say about these guys. Maybe he drinks a lot of warm milk? All I know is they said “Blanco ahead of Lucien.”
21. Austin Flores ✈️ - Bless his heart. Nice guy. Super big and loves football. But prob won’t play a ton unless he moves to Center. Warhawks didn’t list a center. Hey, Flores, I have an idea! Can ya snap?
Center:
1. Joe Arredondo 🏺- Always voted 1st team Center in the ICFL. I dont always agree with that, but with Boyd gone I do.
2. Toby Allen ⛏️- Another older Digger guy, ex-DBack. The Diggers have the most consistently upper tier OL in the league. Not one player on this OL is bad.
3. Francisco Castro 🐅- 2 way starter, pretty solid. Complaints incoming.
4. Jacob Nolen 🐺- I would listen to an argument for this guy at #2. He’s been a blessing for them.
5. James Jordan 🔱- Ole reliable. Only slides because of age and health concerns. Taken care of himself, and has more knowledge than the lower half of the list combined.
6. Romeo Sanchez 🔱- Fiery attitude, on the youthful side. Had no coaching on the Savage last year so extremely raw. Extremely committed and eager to learn this year. 6 & 7 could go either way.
7. Kevin Tuavoa 🐂- Good reports. Noted as “the better” center from the savage last year. Time will tell. Both are in much better situations than they were in last season, so it’s really just who improves more with actual coaching.
8. Mark Guzman 🐺- Will start at Center if Nolen ends up unable to play. He’s more if an unknown.
9. Mike Coyle 🪄- Griffins expect Coyle to be good. And based on conversations, it may neva disservice to have him so low. New guy treatment.
10. Rami Mendez 🐅- Back up for the Sabers. Good guy, will just probably always be a back up. Doesnt mean he doesn’t try hard.
11. Reggie Jones 🪽- Biggest of the group. Great at being in the way. Very immobile. But he actually seems like he’d be a fun guy to hangout with, just not necessarily to run behind.
Offensive Line Round Up:
1. Aztecs 🏺(52) - Huss/Boone/Arredondo/Johnson/Bishop. Domination here. The most talented, and the deepest. No excuses for the Aztecs this season, they’ve won almost every category, and prob should be the favorites this year. Enormous expectations. Pressure/targets/egos. Very familiar. Still I wouldnt trade places with ya. Their next 3 backups would start everywhere else in the league. Call Wayne, would ya? Is that a fine? Am I getting fined now Eric?
2. Diggers ⛏️ (38) - Johnson/Labra/Allen/Castorena/Rangel. Huge drop off but still good for 2nd. Aaron Johnson is the star. The rest are all pretty damn solid. They’ll have a damn good OL this year. Who are they blocking for though…? Find out next week, on the next eposide, heeeyy aayyyy aaayye… 💨
3. Sabers 🐅 (36) - Rothenbuhler/Locke/Lara/Castro/Koozer. Sabers rankings got all messed up due to miscommunication. I adjusted the list a little after posting to where guys prob should have been without miscommunication. Their Top 3 rivals the Aztecs. Just not quite as deep as both above them. That put them good for 3rd best OL in the ICFL. Sabers have improved a lot since last season. Losing their entire coaching staff is a wash. Who’s even coaching y’all this year? Dolenar? 👀
4. Black Tide 🔱 (34) - Winter/Rodriguez/Reyes/Harrison/Sanchez. I actually don’t love this. My gut says BT should be a spot or 2 down here. On the current starting 5, BT should be like 6th. They’re getting some love from guys like Hurst & Pinedo who may or may not even play OL. I guess they probably should though right? Couple other good OL lurking but haven’t pulled the trigger on joining yet. Unfamiliar territory as BT is used to being #1 here annually. Nobody lost more on the OL this offseason than them. Thanks a lot Boyd! How’s the knee? 😉
5. Matadors 🐂 (30) - Segali/Steigelmeier/Concepcion/Archangel/Tuavao. I can already feel Sam Favela hyperventilating right now. Bb girl, chillll. I’d rather be ranked lower, counted out, and the damn target off the back. All I’ve heard all offseason is how much BT and the Dors lost this offseason. It’s finally the Aztecs year, blah blah. Let ‘em have the offseason headlines. This is the tale of the tackles. They’re solid. But the interior is, at the very least questionable. I do think Sam will coach them up, and they will be better than they were on other teams. He still smell like stale tortillas & carnitas though. Unfamiliar territory for these guys too. Sux 2 Suk.
6. Warhawks ✈️ (28) - Dorr/Brinkman/Beasley/Schlote/Flores. This is the Hawks best position group, and it’s still ranked 6th. Very top heavy with 2 super stars, then heavily weighed down both literally and figuratively. I’d put em both on one side and just run behind em’. Fuk it, I’d put em on the left to run stretch left, move em both right to run power right. Yeah, it gives away the play. Still better than the alternative, and sets up counters back the other way. Nobody has ever done it, and what you guys need this year, is creativity. I am happy for Dorr being an OC this year, smart dude, he will figure it out. Lmk when ya wanna lose on the NC Dub stixx.
7. Alphas 🐺(27) - Pizano/Nolen/Maxfield/Escalante/Guzman. Barely missed the 6 spot by a point. One could argue they have the most potential with so many new players to the league. They could be much better than expected… or the alternative. One things for sure, your QB/RB combo can create magic, but you better keep them both healthy. Cuz you go as far as they take you, and you have more competition for that 4th spot this year with Diggers joining, and Sabers improving more than you did.
8. Griffins 🪄 (10) - Smart/Blanco/Coyle/Yervasi/Dionne maybe? Admittedly, I know very little about your team. I think it’s dope you guys already have 40+ guys. I question quality a bit as a Sabers farm club. Not 1 part of me believes Dolenar would let a star that could actually help the Sabers go to Gryffendor. So it’s fair to assume these are the Saber leftover OL. God, you prob hate me rn. I would. Go prove me wrong, or bathe in it. Your choice.
9. Guardians 🪽 (1) - Jones. Surprise surprise. There’s not much nice to say here Guardians is there?
